What are Roadmapping sessions?
A Roadmapping and strategy session is a deep dive into your business to explore current pain points and the context of what’s happening within the company, your industry, competitors, and who your customers are, so as to provide a baseline and ‘roadmap’ plan for the project and beyond.
It is in-depth, outcome-focused consultation between us and you, the client. We look at your business and review the intended outcomes for the project, set expectations for what success looks like, and identify any potential barriers to achieving success. These strategic sessions help you better understand your business and project, as well as where you’re going, how long it will take, how much fuel (budget) you should expect to use, and what risks face us along the way.

It’s beneficial for both your business, your project and is tailored to you. We get to work together on an initial, small project that builds up trust, and confirms that we can work well together. And we all gain a deeper understanding of your needs, business goals, and intended outcomes.
You are provided with an in-depth report and proposal afterwards and it is up to if you choose to work with us or not – there is no obligation if you decide to work with another provider.
An initial enquiry call
We’ll get nosy about your business, your offerings and discuss your vision and expectations for the project. I’ll also explain the my process and answer any questions you have.
Brand Worksheets & Preparation
Once you’re confirmed, we’ll do a little prep work. After you reserve a spot in my design calendar through a signed contract and initial payment, I’ll send over a personalised, shared online Google Doc worksheet with questions to help me understand the mission and goals of your business. As well as your company, customers and your competitors. I’ll also provide a private Pinterest mood board to help you collect the style and aesthetics that you feel represents your brand.
Brand Roadmap Session
Next we’ll schedule a face to face brand roadmap session to go deep into your business to explore current pain points and the context of what’s happening within your company, your competitors, and who your customers are. At the end, we’ll help you flesh out your unique Brand Story & ideal client and customer. And before the project officially begins you’ll receive a collated, in-depth report that outlines everything we discussed, including your brand story, ideal client, customer avatar and mood board elements and ideas.
From the outcomes in this session and confirming your detailed Roadmap report, we can schedule a date to start work – and if you do, the Roadmapping fee is discounted off your full project costs. 🙂
